Skin Type Test
List Of Skin Types
There are five skin types we will discuss below; you may not fit into one category perfectly, so it's important to remember that you may be a combination of multiple skin types.
Oily skin type
The oily skin type is obvious! If you have excess oil all over your face (or body) or a lot of sebum production, there's a very high chance we can classify you as having this skin type.
Combination skin type
Combination skin is when you have oil in some places but dry or normal skin in others.
The most common combination is having normal or dry skin on the cheeks but oily skin on your T-zone (nose, chin and forehead).
Dry skin type
Dry skin normally consists of flaky or rough skin. You may experience redness or an excess of flaky skin that never seems to go away, no matter how much you moisturise.
Sensitive skin type
Sensitive skin is often diagnosed by overly sensitive reactions to almost all skincare products or environments.
Skin tone is often affected very easily, and It's important to remember that you can have a combination of sensitive skin and another skin type.
Normal skin type
Normal skin type! The type we all want but never seem to have. You have a perfect balance of moisture, normal size (or small) pores, and your skin just looks healthy all the time (healthy skin) in all areas.
If you have a normal skin type, then you're one of the lucky ones.
Summary
There you have it! Common sense prevails, and you realise that it's only 1 question to determine your skin type.
We all think we have unique skin, but in reality, we all share similar skin characteristics.
Whether you have shiny skin, acne-prone, visible pores, wrinkles, dry scalp, lackluster appearance, breakouts, or your skin is just starting to age, having an effective skincare routine that you stick to (that matches your skin type) will ensure you give yourself the best chance to maintain healthy looking skin.
